- A proposed Certifier of Construction – this must be your business’s Qualified Supervisor for the NICEIC Approved Contractor Scheme.

Certifying you for:
- Rented sector condition reporting
What do you need to apply?
- To join the NICEIC Rented Sector Scheme, you need to hold Certification on the NICEIC Approved Contractor scheme.
- An NICEIC accepted qualified supervisor (QS) competent to undertake electrical inspections
- Professional indemnity Insurance - min £250,000 covering Electrical Installation Condition Reporting

What is TrustMark?
TrustMark is a government-backed quality scheme that offers protection to homeowners when having work done in their homes.
We are able to award TrustMark status to businesses certified on the following NICEIC schemes:
- Approved Contractor
- Approved Contractor and Domestic Installer
- MCS
- PAS 2030
What do you need to apply?
- The required level of employers’ liability insurance, unless you are a sole trader.
- Trading history, unless you have been with NICEIC for over six months, or you are a limited company.

If your application is successful, we will update your account and your listing on our Find a Trusted Tradesperson tool.

TrustMark registration costs £145 + VAT.
Domestic Installer Scheme
Certifying you for:
- Domestic electrical installations (rewires, consumer units, extra circuits, installations and new builds)
- Part P notifiable installations
What do you need to apply?
- A proposed qualified supervisor (QS)
- who holds the relevant electrical qualifications and;
- has at least two years’ supervisory experience.
- Required level of insurance cover.
- Appropriate electrical work completed by your business within the last 12 months, for your assessment.

- Installation of small-scale renewable technologies (solar PV, solar heating and heat pumps)
- Installation of gas, oil, solid fuel and electrical heating systems
- Installation of air conditioning and mechanical ventilation
What do you need to apply?
- A competent person with the relevant qualifications and training.
- Knowledge of the relevant building regulations applicable to your area of work.
- Required level of insurance cover.

BAFE SP203-1 - Fire Detection and Fire Alarms System Scheme
Choose this scheme to:
- Demonstrate your business has the appropriate competencies and insurance in place
- Help your business demonstrate compliance and knowledge with fire safety regulations
Gain certification in selected technologies:
- Design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of fire detection and fire alarm systems.
What do you need to apply?
- A primary contact to manage communications with BAFE and ensure compliance with the scheme requirements.
- A lead individual with the required technical competencies and qualifications.

Gain certification in selected technologies:
- Electrical work in potentially explosive areas.
- Electrical work on railways
- Electrical work in the water industry
What do you need to apply?
- Certification on the NICEIC Approved Contractor Scheme
- An NICEIC accepted Qualified Supervisor (QS) who:
- Holds the relevant hazardous electrical qualifications
- Has at least two years' technical responsibility.
- The required level of insurance cover.
- Appropriate electrical work completed by your business in hazardous environments within the last six months, for your assessment.

- A nominee who is responsible for ensuring that the company meets PAS 2030 requirements.
- A technical person with the relevant qualifications and training.

Choose this scheme to:
- Demonstrate your business has the appropriate competencies and insurance in place
- Enable your business to notify renewable installations on the Microgeneration database, which can enable consumers to access funding for installations such as the Smart Export Guarantee or Boiler Upgrade Scheme
Gain certification in selected technologies:
- Installation of small-scale renewable technologies (solar PV, solar heating, electric energy storage systems and heat pumps)
What do you need to apply?
- A main contact with responsibility for ensuring that the business meets MCS requirements.
- A technical supervisor with the relevant qualifications and training.
- The required level of insurance cover.
