MCS require us to check evidence of an approved qualification for all NTPs at your next NICEIC assessment.
Any NTPs that do not hold an approved qualification will need to gain this qualification. We will need to receive evidence of a course booking for an approved qualification within 6 weeks of your NICEIC assessment date.

Why is a Level 3 qualification now required?

EESS are an innovative technology, when the MCS Standard (MCS 3012) was first introduced there were limited training courses available. As the technology has become more established, mandated and consistent installer competence is essential in order to ensure that businesses have the right knowledge and skills to carry out these installations in the safest way possible.

What is an appropriate qualification?

There are many providers including NICEIC that offer the approved training.
