NICEIC applauds 2023 skillELECTRIC finalists

NICEIC, the UK’s largest certification provider for the building services industry, congratulates the candidates named as this year’s SkillELECTRIC finalists

NICEIC has underlined its commitment to the future of the electrotechnical industry by once again partnering with National Electrotechnical Training (NET) and WorldSkills UK to deliver SkillELECTRIC 2023.

Designed to promote and celebrate the talent of electrotechnical students across the UK, the competition has already seen over 200 participants engage in knowledge and practical based heats across the UK.

Having proved their skills, the eight finalists named below are now in the running to be crowned as the SkillELECTRIC 2023 winner.

Ben Gillin - Lloyd Morris Electrical & JTL Training
Conor McDonnell - Nesbitt Electrical & Southern Reg. College
Danny McBean - Grants of Dufftown & SECTT
Demi Mae Whitehead - William Davis Homes & JTL Training
Jason Robinson - Neil Whicker Electrical Services & College of West Anglia
Kevin Boone - Darke & Taylor & Training in Electrical
Thomas Magee - Belfast Met College & SM Electrical
Thomas Turner - Parker Technical Services & JTL Training


And that’s not all; the 2023 crowned champion could also be in the running to represent the UK on the international stage at Worldskills Lyon 2024

NICEIC’s Technical Training Developer, and SkillELECTRIC judge, Alex Robinson, said:
