Preparing for an Approval Visit | During this time we will provide ongoing support to help you meet the requirements of the scheme, both practically and for the centre Quality Management System. To be fully prepared for your approval the following will need to be in place: QUALITY SYSTEM It is a requirement that your centre has its own Quality System in place as part of the approval process. To assist you in building one we will supply you with a quality manual, which, by editing highlighted text with your unique data will enable you to complete your own Quality System including associated forms and records with essential information only. ASSESSMENT MATERIAL All assessment material will be provided prior to your approval visit. The paperwork will cover the equipment requirements, centre build/practical provision information and all the documents involved within the assessment. This will enable you to only print the documents you need ensuring they are available when required without the need to hold large volumes of unnecessary stock. OBSERVED ASSESSMENT The approval will require an External Verifier to carry out an observation of a practical assessment taking place within your centre to ensure that all relevant equipment and processes are in place. They will also check the effectiveness of the Quality System in operation. Following a satisfactory result the External Verifier will make a recommendation for the approval of your centre. Please note: the observed assessment can be completed on the same day as the Quality System is checked or can be arranged at a separate visit. |
After you are Approved | When you are approved, we will issue you with a welcome pack containing your approved assessment centre certificate(s) covering your centres scope of assessment. In addition, you will receive an NICEIC Certification Approved Assessment Centre plaque, a disk containing various logos and templates to use for advertising and promotional activities and entry onto our website. You will also be allocated a primary contact who will be available to answer any technical enquiries and also take care of the Document Review of your centre’s candidate portfolios. |
