What is Connected Futures?

Connected Futures is a job board for electrical apprenticeships, where you can apply to apprenticeship opportunities posted by NICEIC-certified businesses. Businesses certified by NICEIC are held to the very highest standards of competency and safety, and must prove their compliance with all our requirements at regular assessments carried out by experienced technical engineers. They also have to undertake ongoing continuing professional development (CPD) to ensure they’re keeping up with the latest industry developments.

Businesses who aren’t certified with us can’t post apprenticeship jobs. Simple as. So, when you apply for apprenticeships on Connected Futures, it means you can be sure you’re only pursuing positions with the industry’s most trusted and qualified businesses.

Why do an apprenticeship?

Apprenticeships have always been the preferred route into the electrical industry because they offer a perfect blend of on-the-job, practical experience (not to mention the salary that comes with it) and classroom learning. Meaning you can learn all about electrotechnical theories and principles before immediately putting them into practice at work!

Apprenticeships also offer the amazing opportunity to learn from skilled electricians who have been in the industry for decades, which can be incredibly inspiring for an apprentice electrician wondering what they might be able to achieve after qualifying.
