Working in Jersey? The NICEIC Jersey Scheme is designed to help you quickly and easily notify electrical installations.
If you work in Jersey, you are required to notify all electrical installation work to the Jersey Local Authority Building Control Department, irrespective of the intended use of the system, whether domestic, commercial or industrial. You can do this quickly and easily via the NICEIC Online Certification system.
Contractors applying for the Jersey scheme, have to meet the requirements of our Approved Contractors scheme. Approved Contractors are electrical contractors who have been assessed as competent to deliver electrical work against the requirements of BS 7671.
NICEIC Approved Contractors conducting work in Jersey can notify their work via the NICEIC web site.
Each job you notify to us will then be forwarded to the Jersey Local Authority Building Control Department and a Certificate of Compliance will be sent to the owner of the property where you have undertaken the work.
For each job you notify to us, you will be charged a small administration fee of £3.50 which will be charged once you have reached 5 notifications or within 3 months, whichever comes sooner.
