Recording CPD

Supporting you with Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

At NICEIC we believe that continuing professional developmental (CPD) is fundamental to upholding standards.

But with new rules coming in, there is now a requirement for contractors to provide evidence of the learning that takes place.

NICEIC provides a broad range of accredited CPD resources such as webinarspodcasts, newsletters and Connections magazine (accessible via myniceic.com) to help keep you up to date.

But what is the best way to keep track of your own and your team's learning?

You may already have systems in place but if you are looking for an easy way to capture your learning :

  1. download this example template CPD Record

  1. include details about any CPD you undertake like:

  •  attending webinars
  •  listening to podcasts
  •  reading Connections  magazine
  1. sign up to our newsletter to find out what free, accredited learning from NICEIC looks like

  1. speak to your Assessor who can provide advice on what is on offer

Discussions with your team

If you are the nominated technical person you will also be asked to record evidence demonstrating that all members of your team are competent and/or adequately supervised to undertake work.

If you do not currently have a system in place to record this information, check out NICEIC’s example Supervision Record Template.

Good to know: Recording CPD is as easy as recording it in a spreadsheet
