Understanding the design, installation and commissioning of Solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems.
What will you learn?
This training and assessment is designed to provide experienced electricians with the necessary skills for the basic design, installation, commissioning and service of Solar PV. The course will cover the majority of small scale Photovoltaic systems currently installed within the British Isles. Course delivery will be 80% theory and 20% practical.
Who should attend?
Individuals who wish to self-certify solar PV installations through the NICEIC MCS Installer Scheme (or other government scheme operators).

Prerequisites: Candidates are required to hold an NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical (Building Services & Structures) Qualification or equivalent. It is also necessary to have achieved BS7671 2008 including 1st Amendment.
