Test and Measurement Workshop
Course Description: This course has been designed to give practicing electricians the skills in using test equipment to complete electrical installation certificates or reports
What will you learn? Those attending the course will be show how to complete tests in-line with those required by BS7671:2008 Amended to 2011. The tutor will mentor candidates through a number of testing scenarios to ensure all candidates attending the workshop can complete all the required tests. This is a very practical workshop and candidates are encouraged to bring their own test instruments so they can gain faith in the workings of their test and measurement equipment.
Who should attend? Anyone that is starting to complete testing as part of their job.
The Course Programme The tutor will cover the fundamental requirements of testing before practically covering:
- Safe isolation
- Insulation resistance
- Earth Electrode testing (De-energised method)
- Earth Electrode testing (Energised method)
- External Earth Fault Loop Testing
- Prospective Fault Current Testing
- Impedance Testing
- RCD Testing
- Functional Testing
